I shut down powerpoint, I reopened, picture It then became a red x on the thumbnail, but not in the slide. When I unadjusted it, it reappeared, and so on. Then I imported one image in the standard Here’s a description from the user: “On the Dell latitude E6500 I made a new powerpoint using a template. Changing the view in Powerpoint to greyscale did help but it's not a great solution, it makes it The Acer already had the most recent video driver and reducing the color depth didn’t make a difference. Reduced the color depth to 16 bit but it didn’t help. Hi, I have a user that is having the same problems - the thumbnails in Powerpoint 2013 appear as boxes with red Xs across them, then images disappear from the slides themselves and sometimes the entire presentation becomes corrupted. That view and then everything will be displayed. the only workaround is to go to View and press "greyscale" and edit in disabling hardware acceleration, compressing images in document, saving as. I've tired running in powerpnt /safe mode. we tried recreating slides from scratch (no copy paste) importing jpegs directly and after a while the memory usage goes over 1GB and it starts replacing only slides with jpeg images and some drawing objects. These powerpoints are not large or special. I open the same presentations in powerpoint 2010 and no problems - only 23MB memory usage add more slides in and you can't use it at all! Then when you zoom in images and drawing objects dissappear. That is you open the powerpoint and the powerpoint.exe memory usage goes up to 1.2GB working set and then the slides start having red and blue X instead. We have deployed Office 2013 32bit on windows 7 pro company wide with the latest updates but have run into a bug with Powerpoint 2013ĥ0% of our existing powerpoint 2010 presentations - and some brand new ones - have a memory leak.
